Meet the Faces of BGE
Madeline and Cat became friends in 2003 and have long dreamed of a career in horses together. Their day to day now consists of professional “day” jobs, families, and investing endless hours at the barn with horses in training and teaching lessons to their students. These two are committed to cultivating quality horsemen in and out of the tack and filling their barn with happy, healthy horses.
Madeline Conley is an avid horsewoman with over 25 years in the saddle. She spent her younger years competing in the Three Day Eventing discipline through Training level and went on to work as a stable manager for Bit-O-Woods Farm in Hainesport, NJ and then as a working student for Mark Weissbecker. When she was 19, she embarked on her journey as an Active Duty member with the United States Air Force.
During her time living all over the world, she has taken every opportunity to ride in whatever environment was available. Her experience spans jumpers, dressage, western pleasure and three day eventing. She currently trains with upper level riders Sally Cousins and Lisa Lewis, as well as a number of well-respected local trainers. Madeline also had the unique opportunity to attend the inaugural Camp Windurra 2024 and immerse herself in training with Boyd Martin, Silva Martin, Anna Buffini, and Peter Wylde.
Her experience in leading military teams through multiple deployments has molded her to excel in rapidly changing conditions with the ability to adapt to new or challenging situations with ease.
Madeline now resides in South Jersey with her daughter, their Chocolate Labrador, Remington and Hound mix Winnie.
Catherine Boiler has been in the tack since before she can remember. A three day eventer by trade, she was a long time student of Lisa Lewis and working student for Mark Weissbecker for many years where she specialized in not only competing in the upper levels, but bringing young horses along as well. She and her New Zealand thoroughbred, Coppertop, reached impressive heights, competing to the Advanced level.
After her time with Mark, she fell into an opportunity to immerse herself in the world of combined driving. During that venture, she was sponsored by Kent Brownridge of Connecticut. She spent her summers training at Shanon Baker’s facility in New Hampshire and winters with her horses stabled at Chester Weber’s facility in Ocala, Floria as well as a horse at Randy Ward’s. At the end of that season, Cat decided to pursue her goals in a nursing career.
Now a seasoned trauma nurse and Director of a Chemical Dependancy Unit, Cat is committed to caring for people in their times of need which speaks to her empathetic nature. Cat lives in South Jersey with her two Great Danes, Titus and Otis.
